More than 30 world class bowl riders to battle it out in one legendary bowl for their share of $75,000 this July 27 & 28 in Huntington Beach at the first-ever Van Doren Invitational bowl riding competition at the Vans US Open of Surfing.

New from Vans, the folks that bring you the annual Vans Pool Party, skateboarding's premier bowl riding event, comes the Van Doren Invitational. The Van Doren Invitational is an invite-only pro/am bowl riding jam competition consisting of over 30 of the greatest skateboarders from around the world anchored against the backdrop of the Vans US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, California.

Kicking off its inaugural year as the skate feature of this week-long celebration of the world's top action sports athletes, the Van Doren Invitational bowl jam is free to the public and runs Saturday and Sunday, July 27 & 28. Offering up a prize purse of $75,000, the Van Doren Invitational takes it to the next level in its inaugural year by featuring the first-ever all cement bowl on the sand in Huntington Beach, inspired by and designed from the original bowl riders' mecca, the Skatepark du Prado bowl on the sand in Marseilles, France.
